New Trip 6-16-08

Today we left SC and came to Fredericksburg, Va to visit new great-grandaughter and two grand-daughters. Left home about 8 this morning and arrived here about 6:30 tonight. Only problem was bad storm just north of Richmond. Plus WE forgot to strap down TV and found it laying on chair. Didn't hurt TV but antennae connector ripped out of wall. Have Dani and Jimmy with us. Going to stay here until Sunday then head for St Louis to visit another grand-daughter and great-grandson.

April 30th. RETIREMENT DAY FOR BONNIE!

Bonnie has finally retired and we can commence our rv travels. First trip starts Jun 16th and we're heading for Viginia to see new great grand daughter. After a week we head for St Louis, Mo to see granddaughter and great-grandson. Then on to Richland, Mo to visit daughter and her family. Hopefully this is just the beginning of a new life style.

Well we still have grandkids. Bonnie's down to 65 days till retirement. What a happy day that will be. Fulltiming, camping and now we've gotten into metal detecting. Haven't found much but enjoy getting out in the open air and enjoying the exercise. Tried to get reservation for Hunting Island again but no luck. Oh well.

Just a quick note. My email is changed to dnbzookey@hotmail.com.
And we are now wireless through Verizon. We really like being wireless on the laptop. Not tied to a desk or cable or phone line. Was not too bad financially to do. Grandkids are still doing great with us. Bonnie is down to less than 6 months to retirement.

Update

Todays Aug 3, 2007 and we've had a very busy year so far. We got temporary custody of our 3yo grandson and 6yo granddaughter. For a couple in their 60's this has been very challenging but we're very happy with them. Took a week and went to Hunting Island State Park and we had a ball. Jimmy had never seen the ocean before but he took right to it. Had to go in every day once or twice. Wild deer roaming all over the campground. Had 5 one night and 4 one night come right up to us while we were eating dinner. Grazed within 5 feet of us. Kids were thrilled about that. Now we're just waiting for next court date for results. Happy camping to all.

First long trip.

We finally got a chance to go Sat 13 Jan 07. Went to Hastings
, Fl to visit my sister and her family. We didn't leave till 12:30 so we stopped in St Johns, SC for night. Do not stay at the Comfort Inn campground off I-95. Very small and dirty. Cars were parked in empty sites next morning. Scary..
Enjoyed 4 days at sisters then went to cousins in Lake City, Fl for short visit on way home. Trip was very nice and we are even more looking forward to fulltiming next year.
Almost forgot most important occurence during trip..First great grandson born Jan 14th in St Louis, Mo. Welcome to Caleb Michael.
